The Effect of Acupressure on Chronic Low Back Pain among Operating Rooms Nurses

Low back pain is the most common musculoskeletal work-related condition among nurses. Acupressure type of complementary medicine frequently used today. a technique that involves pressing with finger to release endorphins, which causes muscle relaxation and relief.  This study aimed at determining effect acupressure on chronic low nurses working in operating rooms. Setting: was carried out rooms (OR) three departments namely OR (A) for colon surgery, (B) oncology& hepatobiliary surgery. Finally (C) head neck surgery Alexandria Main University Hospital.  Design: quasi-experimental design used. Tools: Interviews scheduled collect socio-demographic job characteristics, Million visual analog scale (MVAS), questionnaire were occupational role. Results: statistically significant difference severity between control group after 6 weeks massage (p < 0.001*) observed. Concerning post-test mean score role 19.50± 8.22, while 52.33 ±7.42, highly two groups p (0.001*). Conclusion: an effective therapy reducing employed as well improving their function. Recommendation: educational nursing program about should be conducted.
